SeekingSitters membership is valid nationwide.  Each SeekingSitters member is provided with an efficient online account providing the ability to manage your home location, make a sitter request, view the babysitting team and set sitter preferences. 

A local owner is always available for your needs.  Local owners work to make sure that the most qualified and reliable sitters are available for your sitting needs.  Community is important to SeekingSitters and each local office is actively involved in their community.

I personally work for you to find the best sitter match for your family. After the sitter is assigned you can meet her virtually and even chat online to ask questions or give details about your family.

Our goal is to make the entire process as seamless as possible for you and we handle the rest!

Activities and Fun

Your sitter will arrive at your home with activities and games prepared for your children's preferences and ages. We have seen how exciting it is when the professional sitter arrives on your doorstep with their bag full of activities.

When you book a regular event, talk to me about preschool and school aged activities that can be purchased on a monthly basis.

Last Minute Services

SeekingSitters service is designed to help your on-the-go family! Over 40% of weekly filled requests are made last minute or with under 7 day’s notice. Your monthly service fee will be activated at the time of the request.

Booking and Cancellations

A non-refunable reservation amount will be charged at the time of the booking. This reservation amount is applied towards the final job total. 48 hours prior to the event, the full fee for the scheduled event will be charged and cannot be refunded after this time.

A cancellation fee will apply for any event that has been scheduled with a professional sitter.

Gratuity

Gratuity is not required but is highly suggested. The amount is at the discretion of the member.

The gratuity can be added directly to the ticket at the end of the event.

Payment Method

In order to help ensure the validity of our families, SeekingSitters only accepts credit or debit card payment for all babysitting services. Credit card accounts must be in the name of one of the SeekingSitters member and registered to the address of the babysitting event.

Please note that all transactions are processed through SeekingSitters online payment processing vendor, OBT (Online Business Transactions) and your credit card statement will reflect OBT 1(800) 557-5189.

Extended Driving Area

A $10.00 destination charge per event applies for families in the extending driving area and the fee is paid directly to your sitter. This is not a mileage compensation.

Please contact SeekingSitters regarding details of extended driving areas. All driving arrangements must be made directly with your sitter.

Overnight Babysitting Help

SeekingSitters can accommodate just about any situation that you might need babysitting help: Overnight stays, Weekend help, Sitter accompaniment on vacations.

Group Events

Certified Sitters can be scheduled to help ease your special event by caring for the children so the adults can relax. The website has an easy registration process for no additoinal charge. Sitters arrive with activities for the children or can coordinate with your event planner. Weddings, Conferences or Parties are just some of the ways to utilize group event services.

We had Natalie G. for New Year's Eve overnight with our kids and 2 kids of our friends. Let me just say my kids are still talking about that night. We highly recommend Jordan. She took care of our 8 1/2 month old little boy for 2 full days and did a wonderful job with him. It normally takes him time to warm up to new people but he seemed comfortable with Jordan almost immediately. She was timely each day, varied her activities with him to entertain and teach him, she picked up on his routine very quickly and just seemed very warm and natural around him which made him feel more comfortable around him. She's a natural with little kids. We will definitely request her again in the future. Thank you Jordan!

Saba is so outgoing and friendly. She really put my kids (and myself!) at ease right away. She is working out great!
Molly is amazing. She has worked for us approximately 8 hours per day for a couple of weeks now. She gives us excellent feedback on our daughter's day. We have never had to repeat instructions. Molly takes great initiative to do fun things, like going to the library, bringing toys and books.
Kara was great and my kids warmed right up to her! My son said he had a lot of fun with her and even asked if she could come back again tonight- lol!
We loved Jessie, she was great with are three kids and they really seemed to enjoy playing with her. They are already asking when my husband and I are going to go on another date so she can come back over:)

Misean was wonderful! Her experience with children was apparent. Our daughter felt immediately at ease with Misean - so did my husband and me! Misean also took the time to bring activities. Our daughter LOVED baking cookies with her. I also appreciated her effort to do the dinner dishes, pick up and to help our daughter finish her chores. Having experience in the dental profession was also a plus. Misean even got our daughter to floss! We will definitely be requesting Misean again. (I almost hesitated to post this because we want to hog her. :))

I just wanted to pass along some positive feedback about Jennifer D who sat for me yesterday. She is very pleasant and personable and my daughter really enjoyed her company. The thing that stuck out for me is I came home from a long day at work and she had done the dishes for me! I don't expect my nannies to do that so it was just a nice touch (and totally unnecessary!) but much appreciated for a tired single mom!

I don't think we've ever given any feedback to Regina, but obviously we love Regina! She is a calm and capable presence in our home and our twins truly look forward to her arrival. Regina is always prepared with a craft, game, or activity, but she has also been fantastic about helping us facilitate homeschooling on days when we have needed her help. She is also wonderful with our newborn and I feel so relaxed knowing she is in charge. I have complete confidence in Regina and am so pleased to work with her.

Wow! Susan was our first sitter ever with SeekingSitters, I am beyond impressed. She was on time, played non-stop with our girls, took them to the park, taught them some math, read books, played out back etc. My oldest Daughter said, "I love Susan!" awe :) we look forward to having her back, and appreciate the care so much!

First, I want to thank you for sending Ann Marie to sit for us today on such short notice. Second, I want to tell you how great Ann Marie is! She was so wonderful with the kids and just so nice in general. Sophie took to her right away, and she can be a tough customer! Not only did Ann Marie do great with our kids, but during nap time she practically cleaned our entire house! I would never expect this from a sitter but I can't tell you how excited and appreciative I am for what she did for us. She cleaned our kitchen, picked up loose items in our dining room, cleaned up both bathrooms, folded blankets and put away toys in our kid's rooms. I was floored when she told me this was her first assignment, she is such a natural. I know she will be a very popular sitter once more of your families meet her! She was just wonderful for us and I hope we will be able to have her sit for us again in the future!

Jordan is very pleasant and kind to our chilldren. She is detail oriented and leaves a list of items of what the children ate and when they napped and exactly what they did. We are not nervous in the least when she is taking care of our little ones!
We love Jordan! I have two boys 3 and 16 months and they are so happy to see Jordan when she walks in the door. She is so calm and easy going that leaving for work is actually relaxing. Emily took my 2 year old to music class, lunch and play so I could go to the doctor and rest. The music teacher emailed me to tell me that Emily was great with Blake and Blake kept telling me he had fun with "M-Lee" , he ran to hug her when she left and seemed to really like her. I liked her, she was very friendly and nice. We look forward to using her again.

Meagan was a great sitter for our two young girls, ages 2 and 3.5. She was not only on time, but early (!), kept the girls busy and easily got them to bed. The house was clean and tidy and the girls even had little artwork gifts to show us from their time with Meagan. Our girls were happy for her to come back a second time!
My kids (ages 8, 11 & 15) loved spending time with Sadie! In their own words, Sadie is " friendly, fun, funny and overall great!" They are hoping she'll get to come hangout with them again soon when sitter needs arise. :)

As soon as Hannah D. walked in the door, she connected with and began engaging my 5 year old. I usually have to hang around until my daughter warms up to a new sitter but Hannah just seemed to fit. Great experience with Alicia today! When we came home it was clear our daughter had a wonderful time. Alicia played and encouraged play with Audrey. When we came home Audrey gave Alicia a big hug. It's wonderful to be away and know she had a good time.
Ari was amazing. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and great with the kids. My 3 year old adores her. The house was clean when I got home, she had great feedback for the kids and my son was sad to see her have to leave. We hope to have her again soon!
Monique is a wonderful person with a genuine, kind heart. She is both conscientious and truly caring, which is evident by the amazing job she does with my kids. The peace of mind I have when Monique is picking up my kids from school is priceless. I can always count on her for going above and beyond what I ask of her. She is great to help with homework, keeping the house as it was left, providing stern but sweet direction to the kids and making them feel special. She is timely and responsible and cares deeply about helping and making a family difference. I cannot say enough nice things about Monique and only regret working so many hours I have not had time to write this review sooner. I highly recommend her to any family, as anyone would be blessed to have her as my children and I have been. My oldest son is newly turned 15 and she is wonderful with him also and dealing with a teen who is resistant to having a nanny pick him up from school. He and my daughter love Monique as I do. Having the consistency she has graciously provided has been a God send when prior to her watching my kids regularly, it was very difficult to have many different nannies. She has been the only nanny to not have my kids be entertained by electronics. She is laughing and having fun with them daily and they are sad to see her leave at the end of her hours. Our kids love Shelby! She makes sure they do their homework, and also has a lot of fun with them building forts, etc. She is very thoughtful and conscientious and does a great job following though. When I come home I feel like everything is "under control." I highly recommend her.
We love Ari! She has been very responsible since day one. Our boys love her, because she is a lot of fun. I have seen her interact with them playing, reading, doing crafts and in outings. She is very confident, has a bubbly personality, has a lot of experience and knows how to discipline in a loving way, but still strict. Karly is amazing. Aavie loved her. He was at ease from the moment he saw Karly. We were having a rough week because Aavie had an Asthma trigger on Monday and he was on oral steroids and nebulizer. All the medication was making him very cranky. Karly, took care of him so well. Aavie woke up rested and also asked me Mommy where is Karly, I want to play with her? It was so cute. My kids, ages 5, 8, & 11, are always thrilled when Happy comes to babysit. Happy is warm, loving, professional and wonderful with my children. It is a blessing to come home to smiling, content kids when Happy is sitting for us. Our family enjoys having Happy with us, and we look forward to having her babysit again soon!

Seeking Sitters has helped us more than we can say. We recently had our first child, but we both work full time. After baby was 2 months old, mom had to go back to work and none of the daycares around us would take infants. We heard about Seeking Sitters from a colleague and after talking with Team Leader Jennifer, we signed up immediately! We love that the sitters come to our house and watch our little one; play with her, help her developmentally and genuinely care and love for her. They also look after our two dogs! If one of the sitters is sick, the Team will find another sitter to look after little one, so we never have to stress about finding another one to cover. Thanks, SS

I just cannot say enough about Hilary. She arrived at my house and started playing with my son, then they played on the trampoline, took a walk with him, and made paper bag puppets. She is amazing and my son said that she is the best sitter ever! She even asked me to say to my older son Happy Birthday from her! I absolutely love Monique. She exceeds my expectations consistently and is the type of sitter I've been looking for since my son (18 months) was born. Upon meeting her I was immediately able to let my guard down because you can tell she's competent and genuinely caring. She engages my son constantly from the moment she arrives with both his toys and her own activities she thinks of. He's always tired and takes a great nap because they play the whole time she's here. She's willing to help me be creative with meals and she even cleans up after herself and my son. She's genuinely a treasure and I highly recommend her...although hesitantly because I want to have her with us all the time :)

Our 16 month young daughter took to Gwendy right away. Within just a few minutes our daughter was sitting in Gwendy's lap putting together puzzles. She didn't even cry when we left, simply waved and went back to her puzzles with Gwendy. Gwendy will be our preference for jobs in the future!

Heather Y is fabulous. She is so calm and mature - she can totally handle anything thrown at her, she listens and asks the right questions. She takes such good care of the kids and leaves the house sparkling. A true gem. Last Saturday my girlfriend and her son were visiting from Boston. He has several food allergies and separation anxiety. She couldn't have been more understanding and calm about the situation. She had all 3 kids fed and happily in bed when we arrived home. I was so impressed with her ability to manage. And she even found time to paint my daughter's nails after the two boys were in bed. So sweet. My kids can't wait to play with her again on Saturday. Such a blessing.

We have had some great sitters from SeekingSitters but have used Regina the most and love her! My two toddlers adore her and are so excited when she comes over to play, which definitely helps alleviate the guilt of leaving them. We never worry when she is with them, because we know they are safe and in good hands. Two little ones can be a handful, so we really appreciate having someone we trust watch them so we can have a much needed date night every now and then!

I had Regina for my first event with SeekingSitters and I could not be happier. Regina was there on time and understood everything I told her. She was calm, friendly, courteous and very professional. Trusting someone to babysit your baby is difficult; however, SeekingSitters makes that easy. I am sure they take a lot of care in hiring nannies/babysitters. We are so grateful to have found Ari! We don't have family in the area, so it's vital that we trust someone with our toddler and in our home. We never worry when Ari is there, not even for a moment. She is great with our 18 month old daughter. Bedtime can be tough for us, but Ari handles it so well, and lets us know the moment she falls asleep.
Brianna was great! She left detailed notes about how the day went and seemed genuinely happy about watching our 1 year-old...and our little one cried when she left!
Gwendy watched the kids for us last weekend and was so great. Also was wonderful with all the pets in our house, which due to my mother's recent passing, has gone from one cat to 3 cats and a dog who doesn't like a whole lot of people and liked Gwendy. I wanted to let you know how much the kids enjoyed Mary Gordy. I am sure you hear this a lot, but she is WONDERFUL! She came armed with crafts and activities, and when my husband and I got back around 10 pm, we found fresh baked blueberry muffins they had made, and she had started a load of the girls' laundry!!
Ann Marie was fabulous!! What a wonderfully pleasant and responsible young woman. When I got home, she was teaching my 8 year old to knit and supervising my 6 year old's game on PBS.com.
